Top 5 Best Restaurants In St Albans
1/31/2023
Hola amigos! Today's I'll show you the 5 best restaurants in the trendiest place in Hertfordshire - St Albans. Please note, these are just my personal favourites and I am very excited to share them with you!
I'm going to start with my favourite - Amrit. This is an Indian Restaurant and I've been here multiple times. It's actually the only place from this list, where I've been more than once. The atmosphere is very intimate, the personal is very attentive and the food is incredible! Once I've ordered only vegetarian/pescetarian dishes and they were unbelievable. Not to mention the time when I had lamb curry and prawn biryani - so tasty!
The next one is called The White Hart and is a restaurant/pub/accomodation located in the heart of St Albans, just a couple of steps away from the Abbey cathedral. We had here one of the best Sunday Roasts I've ever had! Freshly roasted veggies, delicious sauces and carved meats - pure bliss! Plus a fantastic pint of beer, what could you want more from a Sunday? We managed to snatch the last table as Sundays can get pretty busy if you don't book in advance.
The next one is the most famous chain of Asian food in England - Wagamama. Sometimes nothing beats a hot bowl of ramen, especially in the cold evenings of winter. The ones that we had were so good: pulled pork, kimchi, beef broth, fresh noodless topped with a half boiled egg! Also it's always nice to get some free green tea, which is the perfect warmup. We had some pork gyozas as well but ramen is the king. I'm a sucker for asian food, so this will be a favourite choice.
This Turkish restaurant had the most boujee interior of all of them! It's called Havin and is just opposite the old clock tower. They had a fantastic set menu for no more than £15 and it was very good value. The starter was very tasty and the main even more delicious. Would love to come back and try other meals from the set menu and why not, other specialities.
The Beech House is a trendy pub serving cocktails, beers and a huge variety of meals. I had a burger and chips, pretty basic but tasty. Would love to go back and try other courses but it's quite noisy inside. Loved the interior tho, very unique.
PS: My actual favourite restaurant didn't make in the list because I was too busy demolishing everything in front of me! I'll be back there 100% and I'll make sure to take some pics and share them with you! Untill then, don't droll too much!
